Amanda ordered a big step-stool for Adria to use in the kitchen. Adria loves it…she can easily reach the counters, the sink…even turn the water off and on without any kind of climbing. She’ll carry it around to reach things, including stuff high up on the fridge (yay! 
).
But…even better than a giant step-stool…the giant box that it came in! We’ve been playing with this dishwasher-sized box for about 3 weeks now…it’s the gift that just keeps on giving.
Adria loves to use the box as a bed. This has happened several times…

This time, she wanted Austin to share it with her. At least, she wanted it for a minute or two. I helped him in there and then hovered in case anyone started flailing too badly…

The box also becomes a store from time to time. On this occasion, I was ‘selling’ Adria her little toy cars, in exchange for ‘money’ on one of her pretend credit cards. It was a good starter lesson in money…at one point, I told her that she ran out of money, and had to do something useful to someone (a chore) to earn some more. Then we sent her off with a rag and some Windex to clean the sliding glass door…and when she came back, I gave her more credit.
